Pulmonetic Systems is the company which the developer of T Bird established independent when Bird Inc. was done by M&A. Like a mechanism, it is T Bird and the product which applied a turbine technology similarly. T Bird improvement machine however, in a sense, it is. It is the product to have pursued a portability as in the name of the laptop ventilator, but it is equipped with PCV and the PSV mode about the performance, too, and it has an enough performance as the ward business in addition to the portable use such as the float rigger, NIPPV compatible, too. The various corrugation and the monitor value can be displayed when equipped with the graphic display of the option. Moreover, it is equipped with the low pressure oxygen inlet which adds oxygen from the oxygen concentrator, too. As for LTV950, it is equipped only with the low pressure oxygen inlet with the home personal plane and an oxygen concentration blender is omitted. In LTV900, the pressure ventilation mode of PCV, SIMV(PCV) is omitted (Doing PSV can).

3. The outline of the mechanism
1) The structure (Figure ; Structure explanation of LTV1000)
T It applies a turbine technology like Bird. However, in T Bird, as for the turbine, the number of rotations changes according to the intake gas flow rate: in LTV, the turbine maintains constant number of rotations. When not needing intake gas, the output of the turbine goes via the bypass circuit and is returned to the entry. When intake gas is necessary, the valve which controls a bypass flow rate decreases a by-pass rate and the part becomes intake gas. In this method, because the loss with energy finishes only at the frictional energy in the turbine, it can reduce power consumption. Also, because to be behind in the response in by the inertial mass of the turbine and the drive-system can be evaded, the motor of the low output can be relatively used and the energy efficiencies is high. On the side of intake, by the pressure gap in the place around the flow valve, on the side of the expiration, it measures the measurement of the flow by the pressure gap of the place around the film type resistant which was laid down in the exhalation-valve eve. However, because a specific mechanism isn't published by the example, the detail is unknown.
2) The trigger sensitivity
A float rigger is prepared to usual ventilation. The sensitivity can choose 0, 1-9LPM. It writes down the layer matter of - 3‡pH2O, too, as the back-up. In CPAP, the demand flow begins at 10%, or 3LPM being "DURE" or more few values of the highest value for expiratory flow during intake. Incidentally, the base flow is 10LPM.
In the end-of-suction end condition extension facility menu of the setting at 25% in case of % value ( shipment to the intake peak rate of flow ), the maximum intake time of setting being possible in 10-40% of ranges if entering (Setting being ‰Â”\ in the range in 1.0-3.0 seconds with the menu of the extension facility, with it, in case of shipment, the setting is 3.0 seconds) , Being when meeting either which is 2LPM, 2 breathing time condition.
Quantity ventilation (VCV) or pressure ventilation (PCV) can be chosen.
VCV can choose ŽbŒ¸ wave, a square wave. In the dwindling wave, it begins from 100% of values of the setting intake gas flow rate and it ends at either of 10LPM with 50% of values or the least flow rate which is possible in the setting more values. (Figure ; Diagram of dwindling wave)
There is to add end-of-suction end (PC FLOW TERM) by the flow value with the extension facility menu in PCV and "NAI" can be chosen. Intake ends when the intake gas flow rate falls to the % value to the peak rate of flow in PCV ventilation when setting this (But, because value itself of the % is common with the setting with PSV, it can not choose the % value which differs in PCV and PSV). In case of PC FLOW TERM ON, the difference between PCV and PSV is holding about whether intake begins even if there are not a difference and (2) intake trigger of the (1) setting ventilating-pressure. The quantity ventilation or the pressure ventilation can be chosen. It is a trigger window time variable method.
6) The anaerosis back-up
An alarm does a caution when an anaerosis is observed and is included in the backup mode by A/C. As for the condition of the back-up, the present value is used but the setting of an air changes per hour is ventilated in 12BPM in the case below 12BPM. In the anaerosis time, it is possible to change with the extension facility menu. The setting in case of shipment is 20 seconds. The anaerosis back-up is reset when it detects a trigger continuously twice and the alarm deadens the sound. However, an anaerosis message blinks and is displayed in the display.
This mode can be chosen with the extension facility menu. In NIPPV, the alarm of the expired volume per minute becomes invalid. It is the same as the general ventilation therefore with the other setting.
8) The control lock
Two kinds of lock mechanisms are prepared so as not for a panel to be carelessly operated. Simple cancellation (UNLOCK EASY) in the condition to push the control lock button only by and for it to be able to cancel (the lock), it calls and the condition which can not be canceled (the lock) is called difficulty cancellation (UNLOCK HARD) when not continuing to press for 3 seconds. In case of shipment, the setting becomes simple cancellation but can be changed into the difficulty cancellation with the extension facility menu.
9) Rhys time
The standing-up time with pressure can be set in case of pressure ventilation. It sets at the value of 1-9. At 1, within 0.1 seconds, at 9, it is 1.0 seconds. In case of shipment, the setting is 4 0.24 seconds.
10) The extension facility
It enters an extension facility menu when pressing a select-button for equal to or more than 3 seconds. It changes the item to set by turning a value setting knob. It is displayed in order of Rhys time (RISE TIME), NIPPV mode ON/OFF, the end-of-suction end condition (% value FLOW TERM, maximum intake time TIME TERM to the peak rate of flow) of PSV, end-of-suction end (PC FLOW TERMINATION)ON/OFF by the flow value by PCV, the maximum airway pressure offal-"MUDEIRE-" (NO DELAY, DELAY 1 BRTH, DELAY 2 BRTH), CTRL UNLOCK(EASY, HARD). It fixes the item which sets and is "TAI", pressing a select-button, and it turns a value setting knob next and (it chooses) an entry (or ON/OFF) in the value, and it presses a select-button last and it fixes it.

The measured value and the set value can be displayed with the window having to do with an electric bulletin board. The item to display is the following order every time it presses a select-button and switches over. It is displayed in order of PIP (the measurement peak inspiratory-pressure) MAP (the average airway pressure) PEEP (the actual measurement) F (measurement breathing number of times) Vte (the expiration taking air quantity of ventilation) VE (the expiration expired volume per minute) I:E (the set value) Vcalc (the calculated value in quantity ventilation). The graphic monitor of the option, too, is prepared. The various corrugation and the value can be displayed in "WO".
4. The operation (Figure ; Operating panel of LTV1000)
The mode setting pushes and it chooses the button. The value setting pushes the button to have supported an item and it chooses an item, and turns the knob of the value setting and enters desired value. Then in -, it becomes the controlled-respiration which doesn't synchronize with the spontaneous-respiration in the sensitivity setting. The item to display in the monitor screen can be changed when pushing the button of the choice. It puts “ü in the extension facility menu when continuing to press a select-button in equal to or more than 3 seconds. As for the setting of PEEP, it controls PEEP valve manually, turning while seeing PEEP pressure monitor. (Figure ; Figure which showed setting method of PEEP using PEEP valve) Low pressure oxygen can be used by entering it, too. The oxygen concentration of the case was shown in the figure. 5. The alarm
The anaerosis, the airway pressure upper limit, the airway pressure minimum, the low expired volume per minute, the equipment bad condition, the circuit are an external energizer, the inner battery capacity, the alarm, "NADOGAARU" of the oxygen source, shifting.
6. The maintenance, the patient circuit (Figure ; LTV1000 patient circuit) (Figure ; Figure which showed connection of connector)
It rinses a patient circuit and an exhalation-valve well after soaking in the cleaning solution for 10 minutes and it makes them dry up. After that, it does an autoclave or a sterilization by medicament. It exchanges by about 50 times of sterilization. Only the autoclave of the bacterial filter It washes the filter (Inlet Air Filter) of the air intake above the taking in the week. It uses after making dry up sufficiently.
7. The fault
It is small light weight, but to use in the more earnest at the ward it is possible the more highly efficient it is. If having the graphic monitor of the option, it is transformed into the real resuscitator. However, there is an impression that the sound that the turbine and the fan operate is harsh, to be few.
