PLV-102, PLV-100
1. The characteristic (Figure ; Outward appearance photograph of PLV102)
It is a resuscitator for the movement of the structure which drives a piston with the electric motor. PLV-100 however, it is possible to add oxygen, but the case that the breathing rate changes and SIMV can not maintain a correct oxygen concentration. The mechanism which maintains an oxygen concentration is provided for PLV-102. It is possible for the outside battery in addition to either of the inner batteries to drive.

3. The outline of the mechanism (Figure ; New Mattick circuit of PLV102)
It drives a piston with the electric motor which is controlled by MPU by the method which is used for the general portable resuscitator and it makes intake dense fog occur. The drive gas of the exhalation-valve, too, uses intake gas pressure. Gas for the spontaneous-respiration by the SIMV mode is sucked (intake) from fresh air by the patient via the filter and the one way valve. Therefore, now, the inhalation breathing resistance of the young coming to an end exists. The intake work volume can be reduced if the option has the SIMV H valve and it supplies a continuous flow from outside using this. A various specification is prepared about the PEEP valve, too, if necessary. PLV-102 is equipped with the oxygen concentration auto-adjustment system. This is the mechanism which controls the flow rate of the oxygen to add based on this information by preparing an oxygen concentration sensor for station on the way of the patient circuit automatically. It adjusts the oxygen concentration of intake gas at the time of the spontaneous-respiration, too, but if saying strictly, by the system response problem, SIMV causes the change of the oxygen concentration every breathing. The oxygen concentration sensor wins 21% of standard values in the first active-ventilation and does an auto-calibration.
4. The operation (Figure ; Operating panel of PLV102)
1) The power
It confirms the power to be using. It is had priority over in order which is a AC power, the outside battery, the inner battery. It doesn't depend on the inner battery except the temporary use. It checks a battery level timely in Battery Capacity Switch. 2) The check of the equipment
Based on the checklist, every day, it confirms that the patient circuit and the equipment operate.
3) The setting of equipment
It sets breathing mode, a taking air quantity of ventilation, an air changes per hour, an intake gas flow rate, trigger sensitivity, a low pressure alarm, the airway pressure upper limit alarm. When adding oxygen, it sets an oxygen concentration.
5. The alarm
It is equipped with the setting contradiction, the battery voltage, the low airway pressure, the airway pressure upper limit, the oxygen-tension, the equipment failure, the anaerosis, the equal "NO" alarm.
6. The maintenance
1) Check a patient circuit timely and also wash in the constant period and sterilize it. In the period, it depends on the condition and the use environment of the patient.
2) It cleans the air filter which is in the main unit back in the week at least if necessary, checking twice.
3) However, it connects to the AC power beforehand when not using for the battery protection.
4) Receive regular maintenance in 8,000 hours or 1 every year. The guarantee and the maintenance can not be received when the thing except the service opens a main unit case.
